Ms. Patton Learning Behavior Specialist

WELCOME 2022/2023 school year!!! I started teaching in 2008 after completing a Masters program in Special Education at University of Portland, Oregon.  For ten years, I taught at a school on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. 

I joined Garvy in 2015 and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I love being part of a teaching staff that provides such creative, engaging and immersive learning experiences for the children in our school. I have taught in the regular and special education settings and love them both.  This year, I will be working with the special education team helping out our first and second graders.  

Outside of school, I just had my first baby boy... he is perfect!  We enjoy learning and take every opportunity to visit new places. If I ever have free time I am also keen on hanging out at my gym, on the peloton, spending time with family and friends, or cuddling up with some Netflix.   

I am doing the Wilson Reading Program with grades 1 and 2 and have attached some helpful resources below.
