Mrs. Hankins-Special Education Teacher
I am excited to work at Garvy School this year! I am grateful to work at a great school with the best teachers in the city!
I taught at Amundsen H.S. before signing up to be a full time SAHM to my three daughters. I grew up on the southside of Chicago. I married a Cubs fan and while I migrated to the northside, my allegiance remains with the White Sox. I have my bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University and a master's degree from Colorado Christian University.
This year, I am co-teaching with Mrs. Fernandez for ELA and math in 2nd grade. I will also work with Mrs. Wenneberg and her kindergarten students in room 108 and in 3rd grade with Ms. Castrejon.
