At CPS, we are committed to making sure our families and staff are involved in our decision-making. So to ensure your voices are represented, we usually send you over a dozen individual surveys throughout the school year.
Starting this spring, we’re trying something new, combining several surveys into one SY25 Spring Survey. We hope this change will simplify the process and make it easier for as many people as possible to share their feedback with us.
The SY25 Spring Survey covers several important topics:
- Capital Planning: This section has been known as the "Capital Planning Survey" and is given annually. You will provide your perspective on school building needs. Results will be used to prioritize school building investments that would have the most positive impact on your children and/or school community.
- Parent/Guardian Survey (School Climate): This section has been known as "My Voice, My Schools" and is given annually. You will provide your perspective on aspects of your school’s climate and culture such as safety and leadership. Results will be used to monitor current school improvement efforts and provide direction for future improvements.
- Title I Parent and Engagement Policy: This section focuses on parent and engagement plans required by the Every Student Succeeds Act in the District's Title I policy. You will provide your perspective on the District’s Title I Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Parent and Engagement Policy. The results will be used to revise the policy based on your experience with Title I parent and family engagement.
